The Green Volcano Ranch

is a german operated horse ranch, located in the Pululahua volcano north of Quito and Mitad del Mundo.

Situated next to the equator, the Pululahua is one of only two inhabited active craters worldwide, the largest on the american continent and the first and only declared Geobotanical Reserve in Ecuador.

It's volcanic history, changing microclimates and untouched nature, have created a unique place with great biodiversity and a magical spirit.

We are one of the oldest and highly experienced horse ride operators in Ecuador and specialize in customized trail rides through the Western Andes.

The Green Volcano Ranch is currently home to 17 horses of different age and breed, ranging from very relaxed ones to some with gait or a little more spark.

Our diverse team has lifelong experience in training, teaching, and taking care of horses.

To help with the horses and the everyday work on our ranch, we regularly look for horse experienced trainees who would like to join us for a couple of months.
